THE YEAR THAT WAS
Here we are again, approaching the end of yet another busy year at Goldfields -Midwest Medicare Local (GMML).
With everyone frantically preparing for the festive season and holidays, it is nice to take a moment to reflect on the things that we have achieved as an organisation; including programs such as the roll-out of the GoldHealth Shared Electronic Health Record, Shine Above Chronic Disease project and of course the continued success of the Reach for Your Goals Project with our Closing the Gap team.
The numerous health promotion activities conducted throughout the regions in both communities and schools, the initial set up of the Partners in Recovery model that will be officially launched in 2014 and the numerous successful education events conducted for health professionals. It is through strong collaboration with both health professionals and other local health agencies in the region that makes these success stories a possibility and with positive results that we believe are truly making a difference in local health outcomes.
The dedication of the staff here at GMML has been fundamental to our success in 2013 and their motivation and ongoing commitment to achieving our goals has been instrumental. In 2014 we will continue to build on our strengths and further develop our team orientated culture. There is no doubt that the staff of GMML are the most valuable asset and I would like to thank each and every one of them for being so supportive and enthusiastic.
Thank you to all for being a valued member and part of the great communities which make up the GMML region.
Seasons greetings and I hope you all have a safe and wonderful new year. I look forward to working with you in 2014.
