Short story and art competition

Are you in school years 5-12?
Do you have a talent for art?
Are you great at telling stories?
Then enter our competition!
“Sharing a yarn about chronic disease”

We are looking for all talented Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth between school years 5 - 12 who love designing art and writing short stories.

We would like to see what you can tell us about your experience with chronic disease and how it affects you and/or your family and friends.

Some of the most common chronic diseases are diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, asthma and cancer.

Tell us in a short story of up to 1000 words or a poem of up to 500 words, how you feel about chronic disease and your experiences.

Or you can design a cool piece of artwork to show off your talent and tell your story about chronic disease and what could be done to prevent it.

Hubs & Forums

Goldfields-Midwest Medicare Local (GMML) is pleased to announce the new Primary Health Care Service Directories which are currently being distributed throughout the Goldfields and Midwest regions.

As a result of the hub meetings, it was identified that the community and local agencies were not aware of the available primary health care services in their region, or how to access specific services.

GMML took this challenge on and has produced community specific service directories to assist with this broader knowledge and access of services throughout the region.
